A closer look at AIChangeHair

AIChangeHair is a browser tool for previewing a new hairstyle or hair color on your own portrait. It aims to change only hair shape, length and color while keeping your face, clothing, background and lighting. It offers 180 presets, custom text prompts and an AI hair report. Free accounts get 10 credits at signup and 10 more each day they claim, and the monthly plan is $14.99.

A haircut you can undo

Booking a dramatic cut or a new color involves some guessing about how it will look on you. AIChangeHair moves that guessing to a photo. You upload a clear portrait, then pick from 180 hairstyle presets such as bobs, bangs, long waves and buzz cuts, choose a color, or type a description of the look you have in mind. The tool aims to change only the hair's shape and length, leaving your face, clothing, background and lighting alone.

The same editor offers an AI hair report, and the site says each report generation comes back with a different hairstyle and color suggestion, so running it a few times gives you options to compare.

Credits and quality levels

Everything runs on credits. A 1K edit costs 10 credits, 2K costs 16 and 4K costs 24. The free Starter plan gives 10 credits at signup and 10 more each day you claim them, which covers one 1K edit a day. The Monthly plan costs $14.99 for 800 credits, and a yearly plan is advertised at a 53% saving. Checkout runs through Stripe.

Your photo and other people's

The privacy policy is specific about the portrait. It goes to a third-party AI image-generation provider for the single purpose of producing your result, it isn't used to train any model, and the source upload becomes eligible for automatic deletion after 24 hours. Generated images stay in your gallery until you delete them or close your account. The policy names Cloudflare, Supabase, Google sign-in and Crisp as its other processors.

The terms say you must be at least 13 to use the service and may only upload photos you own or have permission to use. Photos of people who haven't consented, including minors, aren't allowed.
