A closer look at Emote Resizer

Emote Resizer takes one PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF and outputs the sizes streaming platforms want: Twitch emotes at 112, 56 and 28 px, sub badges, Discord emoji and stickers, 7TV and BetterTTV ladders, Slack emoji and custom squares. It shows file sizes, warns about over-limit files and downloads a ZIP. Processing runs in the browser.

One upload, every size

Getting a single emote onto Twitch, Discord and 7TV means three sets of dimensions and three file-size limits. Emote Resizer lays them out as cards on one page. Tap a card to load that spec, or load all seven at once and get 13 files from one upload.

The specs are the ones people actually need: Twitch's 112, 56 and 28 px emotes, its 72, 36 and 18 px sub badges, Discord's 128 px emoji and 320 px stickers, the 4×, 2× and 1× ladder for 7TV, BetterTTV and FFZ, Slack's 128 px emoji and a custom square anywhere from 8 to 1024 px.

The limits are the useful part

Resizing is easy. Staying under each platform's size cap is where uploads fail. Each output shows its generated file size and flags anything over the limit, such as 100KB for a Twitch PNG, 512KB for a Twitch GIF, 256KB for a Discord emoji or 128KB for Slack. When a file is too big, the page points you to its compression tools for still and animated emoji.

It works with PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF, including animated files, and you can paste straight from the clipboard. Results download one by one or as a ZIP.

Private and free

The privacy page says resizing, compression and ZIP packaging happen locally with the HTML5 canvas, and that images are never uploaded or stored. There's no account, and the only cookies come from Google Analytics for aggregate usage. The about page says it's built by an independent maker of small free web tools. It does one job and stops there.
