Project Note

A closer look at HeyUtils

HeyUtils has 306 free developer tools for JSON, YAML, CSV, JWTs, regex, timestamps, cron, subnets, UUIDs and more. Each tool has its own page, no account is needed, and most run entirely in your browser.

The small jobs between big ones

HeyUtils describes itself as tools for the small jobs between big ones, which is accurate. You paste a payload to format, decode a token, check a subnet or read a timestamp, and then you go back to work. There are 306 tools across 41 categories, each on its own page with an example ready to load, and none of them need an account.

The details on the popular tools show some care. The JSON formatter keeps large IDs and decimals exact, so a value like 9007199254740993 isn't silently rounded the way plain JavaScript parsing would round it. The JWT debugger shows timestamps as UTC dates and verifies signatures only with a key you provide. The cron builder previews the next run times with timezone context, and the UUID generator covers versions 1 through 7.

Where your data goes

Pasting real tokens or customer data into an unfamiliar site is a fair worry, and HeyUtils addresses it directly. Most tools run entirely in the browser. The ones that need the network, such as certificate or webhook checks, run only when you start them and say on the page what they send. There's a privacy policy and a FAQ on whether data is uploaded.

Finding a tool

With this many tools, search matters. Ctrl K or Cmd K opens search from any page, and categories cover formats like YAML, TOML, XML and CSV, encoding and Unicode, cron and number bases, networking and certificates, and frontend and mobile work. Tool pages keep stable URLs, so bookmarking the handful you use most works well.
