A closer look at Maeve Social
Maeve Social is a social media management app for agencies, brands and creators. It schedules to nine platforms with per-platform settings, runs client approvals through a no-login review portal, collects comments and DMs in one inbox with auto-replies, and reports by content label. A REST API, CLI and MCP server let AI agents work in it. Plans start at $25 a month.
Built around the post
Most schedulers treat a post as a calendar entry. Maeve Social treats it as the place where everything about that post lives, with the caption, schedule, team notes and tasks in tabs on the post itself. Around that it adds planning tools that would normally mean three other subscriptions: a Miro-style canvas for references and saved Reels, Notion-style docs for briefs and scripts with live editing, and Monday-style tables where each row is the actual post and fills in its own status when it goes out.
Scheduling covers nine platforms from one view, with the caption, media and platform-specific settings adjustable for each.
Approvals without client logins
For agencies, the approval flow is the standout. Approvals have their own area with stages for your team and the client, drafts that show exactly what changed since the last version, and a queue of what's waiting on you. Clients review in a portal with no account needed, or through the phone app with push notifications, and there's no per-client charge.
The rest of the client work is covered too. A social inbox collects comments and DMs, with automatic DM replies on Instagram and Facebook. Analytics combine the platforms' native numbers with breakdowns by label, content pillar and format, and export as a branded PDF. Competitor tracking shows posting frequency, top posts and trending TikTok hashtags and music.
Agents, pricing and data
Maeve has a REST API, a command-line tool and an MCP server, so an AI agent can draft and schedule posts or answer questions like which competitor posts performed best last week. Plans start at $25 a month or $240 a year with two workspaces and 800 AI credits a month, rising to $99 and $199 a month for larger teams. There's a three-day free trial.
The privacy policy, updated October 7, 2026, names LILY DIA PTY LTD, an Australian company, as the operator. It says AI features share your inputs with third-party AI providers, that data may be processed in Australia, Singapore and the United States, and that some billing and security records remain after account deletion.
