A closer look at Menlo for Agents
Software and placement support for independent agents: prepare one application, review eligible carrier quotes and bind more policies.
One application, several carriers
The agent starts from an application Menlo has mostly prefilled, confirms what's there and answers the rest. That application goes to each carrier on the platform that writes the risk. The site's example is a client who wants a rental property insured: the agent checks the prefilled property details, completes the open questions once, then compares the carrier responses that come back.
Keeping the file together
Quotes, client conversations and quote documents stay attached to the file. Menlo drafts follow-up messages, and the agent reviews and sends them. The file also keeps compliance records and moves through to the carrier's purchase handoff. Menlo pairs the shared software with its own placement support, and the demo is where the two sides work out which risks the agency places and how the arrangement would run.
Who is behind it
Its licenses page lists Menlo Insurance Services under Opero Labs Inc., with producer licenses in California and Texas. Menlo also runs a consumer-facing site that shops home and business insurance. The privacy policy covers the website and the brokerage's insurance services, says Menlo doesn't sell personal information for money, and describes an optional way to connect a single quote to an AI assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol. The agent product has no public pricing or trial, so this note is based only on the public pages.
