Long-form Project Note

A closer look at Remote Jobs

A paid remote-job board with job-function categories, optional salary ranges and seven-day placements.

This note reflects a first-time user perspective.

Job function comes first

Remote Jobs divides its hiring wall into functions including backend, frontend, design, product and data. An employer supplies a role title, company and application link or handle. Salary is optional, and the rules say both ends of a range must be supplied before a salary appears.

Payment determines position

The public rules start listings at $5 and keep them eligible for seven days after payment. Higher bids appear above lower ones, with earlier listings winning ties. A prominent position therefore says something about the bid. It does not establish the quality of an employer or the suitability of a role.

The empty category limits this first look

The default backend category had no paid roles when checked. The form and rules make the proposed workflow understandable, but there was no listing in that view to follow through to an application. This note is based on public pages only. No job was posted, no application was submitted, and the site's checks on employers were not tested.
