Project Note

A closer look at TaskBound for ClickUp

TaskBound for ClickUp is a Chrome focus timer tied to a ClickUp task. Open a task, capture its ID, title and link, and run a 5 to 180 minute session while chosen websites are blocked. A local history of up to 1,000 sessions exports as CSV. Three focus starts are free, then Pro costs €29 once. It doesn't connect to your ClickUp account.

Focus attached to a task

Most focus timers know nothing about what you're working on. TaskBound starts from the ClickUp task already open in your browser. One click captures its ID, title and link, and the session runs against that task. Afterwards the record shows which task the time went to, kept locally and exportable as CSV, up to the newest 1,000 entries.

Sessions run from 5 to 180 minutes, with pause, resume, early stop and a configured break. TaskBound doesn't connect to your ClickUp account or import a workspace. It reads the task page you're on using Chrome's temporary access to the active tab.

Blocking only what you pick

The site blocker is opt-in per domain. Add a site to the blocklist and Chrome asks for access to that site specifically, rather than the extension holding access to everything. During a session TaskBound blocks the domain and its subdomains, and the rules lift as soon as you pause, stop, take a break or finish.

One practical warning from the site: starting a session reloads any open tabs on blocked domains so the block applies, so save anything you're typing first.

Trial and price

The free install gives three complete focus starts in total, not per day, which is enough to see whether the workflow suits you. After that, Pro costs €29 once to keep starting sessions, activated with a license key emailed after purchase. It's made by Kastovia Holdings LLC, which also builds two PDF tools for Chrome, and the site says it isn't affiliated with or endorsed by ClickUp.
