A closer look at TestDock
TestDock is a mobile app for testing deep links and manual QA scenarios on a real iPhone, iPad or Android device. Save links per app profile, open them with a tap or share them in, and run scenarios with photos and a shareable result. Free covers one profile; a one-time Pro unlock adds push testing, app-link checks and unlimited scenarios.
A home for the links you keep retyping
Testing deep links on a phone usually means pasting URLs into Notes, emailing them to yourself or typing them into a browser and hoping the right app catches them. TestDock gives those links a place to live. Each app you work on gets a profile that holds its schemes, identifiers, verified-link settings and saved links. Open one with a tap, paste a new one, or send one in through the share sheet from Slack, Mail or Safari. Links you hit constantly can go on the app icon's home-screen shortcuts.
The point is that the test happens on the phone itself, where the operating system decides which app handles a link. That's the behavior a simulator or a desktop browser can't fully show you.
Scenarios and the Pro unlock
TestDock also runs manual test scenarios: a repeatable list of steps you work through on the device, with photos attached and a result you can share. The free version includes a sample scenario and one of your own, along with one app profile and unlimited saved links.
Pro is a single purchase, listed at $5.99 on the US App Store. It adds unlimited profiles and scenarios, share-input fixtures for testing your app's share extension, push notification testing, inspection of your app-link association file, links generated from an apple-app-site-association file on iPhone, and import and export of profiles and scenarios. Version 1.2, released in October, lays out saved links and the open item side by side on iPads and Android tablets in landscape.
Privacy
The privacy policy is short. There's no account, advertising, analytics or tracking. Profiles, scenarios, test history and reports stay on the device, and push provider credentials go into the platform's secure storage. When a test calls an outside service, such as a push provider, the request goes straight from your phone to that service, with no server of the developer's in between. The App Store label reads Data Not Collected. TestDock needs iOS 16.4 or later and is also on Google Play.
