A closer look at theHunter: Call of the Wild Tools

theHunter: Call of the Wild Tools is an unofficial desktop app that analyzes theHunter: Call of the Wild save files on Windows. It reads them locally and read-only, then lists animals by reserve, rare fur and estimated trophy range and tracks population changes. A personal license is US$9.99 once for one PC. The site also has free guides and a species database.

Reading the save instead of the map

In theHunter: Call of the Wild, much of what makes a good hunt is invisible from the field. Your save knows which animals live on a reserve, what fur they carry and how far they've grown, and this tool reads that data and lays it out. The site's sample report lists entries such as an albino red deer at level 7 in Hirschfelden with an estimated trophy range of 228 to 274, next to a piebald fallow deer and a melanistic whitetail.

From there you can filter a reserve by rare fur or trophy potential, check need zones and compare populations between saves to see what changed. The site describes the result as a hunting brief for the next session, telling you which reserve to revisit and which animal is close to a trophy.

Local and read-only

The analysis happens on your computer. The site says the tool reads supported PC saves without changing them and never uploads them, and it points to the game's own support page for where Windows save files are kept. For a game save, that matters. A read-only tool avoids the risk of damaging progress that comes with editing a save. It's a Windows download, and only PC saves are supported.

Price and what's free

The Field Edition costs US$9.99 once for a perpetual personal license on one computer, with self-service transfer and every feature included. The app checks the license once a day and works offline between checks. Before paying, you can try the filters in the browser on sample data, and the guides and species database on the site are free.

The headline uses the word cheats for search, but what the site describes is an analyzer that shows information already in your save and leaves the game untouched. It's an independent tool from a solo developer, not from the game's studio, Expansive Worlds.
