The short version

Read the full Project Note

Compare Two Lists is a browser tool for checking which distinct values appear in one list, the other, or both. It accepts pasted text and selected TXT, CSV or XLSX columns, with source references for inspecting matches. It needs no account. The useful boundary is membership: duplicate entries are grouped, so it won't reconcile quantities or explain why an item is missing. The site's privacy policy says comparisons and files stay in browser memory; separate usage analytics are enabled by default and can be turned off.
