Project overview
The short version
Dream Galaxy is a bilingual atlas of recorded dreams, in English and Chinese. You type a dream you remember, and the site looks through 457 records drawn from classical Chinese anthologies, Tang and Song poetry, the Bible, Homer, Herodotus, Indian epics, early Freud and Jung, world literature and openly licensed sleep research. It returns the records that share your imagery, feelings, settings or story shape, places your dream on a star map, and shows how different traditions have read images like yours. Every record links to its source text with rights evidence and an uncertainty note. Baseline matching runs in your browser and saved dreams stay in browser storage, so the core site works without an account. Two features go further. An optional on-device language model of about 150 MB adds matching on meaning, and a signed-in Starlight Reading sends the text you confirm, plus short excerpts of matched records, to the AI provider Agnes AI under a monthly allowance. The site says plainly that it doesn't interpret dreams and isn't medical or psychological advice.
