Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

Easy Morse Code is a free Morse translator and learning site that runs in your browser with no sign-up. Type up to 3,000 characters and the dots and dashes appear as you go, or paste written Morse to turn it back into text. Press play to hear the message, with each character highlighted as it sounds, and change the speed and tone (the default is 20 words per minute at 600 Hz). You can tap a single character to hear it alone, loop a passage, copy the result, or download it as WAV audio or a TXT file. Beyond the translator there's a printable alphabet chart with sound, short practice rounds for training your ear, six beginner lessons and a tool for designing your name in Morse. Timing follows the ITU standard, and Farnsworth spacing is available for learners. One limit to know is that it decodes written dots and dashes only, not recordings or microphone audio.
