Project overview
The short version
EngineSteps is a library of repair guides for specific car engines. You pick a make, model, year, chassis or engine code, open a repair such as a spark plug change, an ignition coil swap or a compression test, and read the procedure beside a 3D model of that engine. Selecting a step highlights the components it mentions, and you can rotate the model, isolate parts or switch between a realistic and a pencil-style view. Each operation lists tools, replacement parts, tightening information and checks separately, and every repair has a PDF checklist you can tick in a PDF reader or print for the garage. Coverage is narrow for now. The Mercedes-Benz catalogue lists 23 vehicle matches across engines such as the M271, M272, M274 and M276, and BMW has one engine family, the B48B20, with 17 repair cards. There's no account, checkout or ad tracking, and completion marks are saved only in your browser.
