Project overview
The short version
Mousetroke adds mouse gestures to the whole desktop. You hold the right button, draw a short stroke, and it runs an action: left goes back, down-then-right closes a tab, a diagonal down-left minimizes the window. A plain right-click still opens the normal menu. It ships with more than 50 gestures for browsing, editing and window management, and you can change any of them, record your own, or have the same stroke do different things in different programs. Screen corners and edges work too, so you can scroll along the top edge to change volume or along the bottom to change brightness. Actions go beyond shortcuts: a gesture can open a program or URL, run a command, show a small menu, or run a Lua script, with variables such as the selected text. It's free, MIT-licensed and open source on GitHub, with no account. The Windows version runs on Windows 10 and 11, and a Mac beta needs macOS 11 or later.
