Project overview
The short version
OfficeDex brings documents, spreadsheets and presentations into one desktop workspace for macOS and Windows. You can edit files directly for free or ask its Dex assistant to draft and revise content, then continue working in the file. The project is open source under GNU GPL version 3, and its download page links a current stable release for Apple Silicon, Intel Macs and Windows x64. AI use is separate from the editor: hosted requests use Credits, and configured providers may charge API fees. Files stay in a local workspace, but an AI request can send prompts and relevant file content to the selected service.
