Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

PingCron is a monitoring service for scheduled jobs. Instead of running anything itself, it gives each job a private check-in URL. Your existing scheduler, whether shell cron or GitHub Actions, keeps running the work, and the job sends a request to that URL once its work and checks succeed. If the expected check-in hasn't arrived by the end of a grace period you set, PingCron alerts you by email, Slack or Discord. The free plan covers five monitors with seven days of history and no card. Pro is $9.99 a month for 50 monitors, 30-day history and custom webhooks, Team is $29 for 200 monitors, ten members and public status pages, and Business is $79 for unlimited monitors and a year of history. Every plan can connect Claude, ChatGPT or Codex to ask about monitor status and incidents. The site is clear that a check-in proves a run reported in, not that its output was correct. The privacy policy, effective October 30, 2026, covers account and monitoring data, GitHub and assistant connections, and lists Stripe, Vercel, Resend and PostHog as service providers.
