Project overview
The short version
PlayableNotes is a sheet music tool for piano teachers. You give it a photo, screenshot or PDF of a piece, it reads the page into a score, and then you describe the version your student needs in ordinary words. The site's examples include keeping Chopin's right hand intact while simplifying the left-hand chords in the E-flat Nocturne, and moving the first movement of the Moonlight Sonata into A minor for a beginner. You can hear the result, click a wrong note to fix it, print a PDF, or send a practice link that students open without an account. Reading costs one credit per line of music. New accounts start with 50 free credits, and edits, printing and the 321-piece library are free.
