The short version

Read the full Project Note

XTimer replaces the dedicated stage-timer box with a web page. You create a room and get a set of links: a fullscreen timer for the speaker's confidence monitor, a controller for whoever runs the clock, a moderator view, an agenda page and a link where the audience can submit questions. From the controller you start, pause and adjust timers, build a run-of-show with several timed segments that can auto-start, send short messages to the speaker's screen and set a color change as time runs low. Timers can count down, count up, show the time of day or combine them, and shared links handle time zones automatically. Nothing needs installing. The free plan includes three connected devices and three timers. Pro costs $15 a month per seat for five devices, 50 timers, private outputs, API access and a custom logo, and Premium is $30 for 50 devices and custom theming. The site also hosts a library of free single-purpose timers for classrooms, workouts, focus sessions and games.
