Project Radar

Site changelog

What's new on Project Radar.

Dated changes to the site itself, newest first. Project Notes and profiles have their own update history on each page; this list is only about the site.

November 2026

  1. One page per project

The separate project profile pages are gone. Everything they held, including published visuals, project updates and the maker's own details, now sits on the Project Note, and old profile links open the note.

  2. No paid placement anywhere on the site

The paid Sponsored Spotlight is gone. Nobody can pay for a spot on Editor's Picks or anywhere else on Project Radar; the optional Launch Asset Pack remains as a separate service for founders.

  3. Guides in the menu

Guides now have their own spot in the site menu and footer, and the newest ones show at the top of the Project Notes and Categories pages.

  4. Monthly reader counts for founders

Founders with a published note now get a short email each month saying how many people read their note and profile the month before, with a one-click way to stop the emails.

  5. Project homepage screenshots on notes

Project Notes show a recent capture of the project's own homepage below the article, with the date it was taken, so you can see what the site looks like before you open it.

  6. The Dispatch moves to its own list

Newsletter signups now confirm by email before anything is stored, and past issues stay readable in the Dispatch archive.

  7. Search guides

A new guides section for task-shaped pages that gather the published notes relevant to one job, linked from category pages and from each note they include.

  8. Founder Stories

Founders can tell how they built their project in their own words. Stories are published only with the founder's consent and link back to the project's note.

  9. Faster pages and cleaner translation

Project logos load as small thumbnails, static assets cache for a year, and project names stay untranslated when your browser translates a page.

  10. A badge for every published note

Every live note has a "Featured on Project Radar" badge founders can add to their own site. It says only that the project has a note here and changes nothing about placement.

October 2026

  1. Category pages, notes pagination and return visits

Each category has an intro, a new-this-week row, sibling links and an RSS feed. The note archive is paged, and returning readers see which notes are new since their last visit and which saved projects changed, all kept in the browser.

  2. Founder questions on the confirmation screen

After submitting, founders can answer a few short questions about who the project is for and what it is not good at yet. Answers may appear as quoted founder context on the note, with the founder's permission.

  3. Six new categories

Games and fun, marketing and SEO, health and wellbeing, money and finance, jobs and careers, and AI image and video joined the category list, and anyone can suggest a better category for a note from its page.

  4. Site redesign

A bolder look across the site: a daily radar of published projects on the home page, one typeface, category colours, and calmer note and profile pages.

  5. Follow-up emails when a submission is on hold

If a submission is waiting on something the founder can fix, such as a page that will not load, the founder gets an email naming it, and a reply reopens the check.
