A closer look at CarSpec Fix
A free reference for oil capacity, tire size and pressure, recalls and fuel economy by year, make and model, with a source cited for every number.
It won't pick your trim for you
Look up a 2022 Honda Civic and CarSpecFix doesn't hand you one oil number. It shows 3.7 quarts with the filter for the 1.5-liter turbo and 4.4 quarts for the 2.0-liter, both 0W-20, and asks you to pick the engine from the badge or emissions sticker. Tire pressure gets the same treatment. The manual gives 32 or 33 psi depending on the wheel package and never says which trim has which wheels, so the page shows the range and sends you to the label on the driver's door jamb. Every figure cites the manual it came from.
That's the useful part. A single tidy number is easier to read, but it's only right if it belongs to your engine. This site would rather leave a field blank than borrow a figure from another configuration, and it says so on the page.
Recalls, codes and dates
Vehicle pages also list NHTSA recall campaigns with their report dates (four for the 2022 Civic, fetched October 15) and tell you to check your own VIN at nhtsa.gov. Trouble-code pages such as P0300 explain the code and the difference between a solid and a flashing check-engine light, with the reminder that a code isn't a diagnosis.
Each page carries a short review record: when the source was read, when a person signed the figures off, when the page last changed, and a separate AI consistency recheck that the site labels as automated rather than a technician's opinion.
Small coverage, for now
The catch is reach. On October 24, 2026 the site had 24 vehicles live, and 16 of them were Toyota RAV4 model years from 2009 to 2024. The rest were recent Civic, Accord, CR-V, Camry, Corolla, Equinox and Tacoma years. Five more were listed as in source review, and the homepage invites requests for others. If you drive one of the covered cars, it's a careful reference. If you don't, there's nothing here for you yet.
The site is free and needs no account. It shows Google AdSense ads and uses Google Analytics, and the privacy policy (effective October 17, 2026, with advertising sections updated October 21) says a Do Not Track signal stops its analytics but not ad serving. It describes itself as general information, not professional mechanical advice.
