CPS Test

CPS Test measures clicks per second over 1 to 60 seconds, then lets you race a replay of your own best round. A rhythm mode asks you to hit a target in each of five one-second intervals.

A closer look at CPS Test

A free click speed test for mouse, trackpad or touchscreen. Pick a duration, click, and get your CPS, then race a replay of a saved round or try the Rhythm Challenge. History stays in your browser.

Clicking against your own replay

A click speed test usually ends with a number and a retry button. CPS Test adds an opponent: a replay of one of your own saved rounds, built from the real timestamps of every click. Start a new round and you're racing your past self click for click, which is a more concrete target than trying to beat 8.4.

The basics are simple. You pick a duration from 1 to 60 seconds, with 5 seconds as the default the site suggests starting from. The first click starts the clock. Your score is valid clicks divided by the duration, and the site gives the example of 42 clicks in 5 seconds scoring 8.40 CPS. Mouse and trackpad share a category, touchscreen results are saved separately, and keyboard input doesn't count.

The Rhythm Challenge

The second mode tests something different. Instead of raw speed, the Rhythm Challenge sets a target and asks you to meet it in all five one-second intervals of a round. A fast start followed by a fade won't pass, so it rewards steady pacing over a quick burst.

The site keeps a sensible note on its homepage too, telling players to take breaks between rounds and stop if their hand gets tired.

History without an account

There's no sign-up and no leaderboard. Your last 50 completed tests are kept in your browser, along with personal bests and up to 20 rhythm challenges, according to the privacy page. You can filter history by duration and input type and export it as CSV. Clearing site data, or the site's own Clear data button, wipes it, and nothing syncs between devices.

The privacy page says the site uses Google Analytics 4 and carries no advertising scripts. It doesn't name who runs it.
