A closer look at Know Yourself

Know Yourself offers BaZi charts and I Ching readings with AI-assisted interpretations for self-reflection. Chart and hexagram calculations are deterministic. Basic charts are free, and complete readings use prepaid credits with no subscription. Readings are presented as self-reflection and cultural entertainment, not professional advice.

What it does

Know Yourself takes two old Chinese systems and puts them in a question-and-answer format. BaZi, also called Four Pillars, builds a chart from when and where you were born and reads it for temperament, career rhythm, money and relationship themes across life stages. The I Ching works the other way round. You bring one specific question, the site casts a hexagram, and the reading covers the present situation, what's changing, signs to watch for and a practical next step.

The homepage calls a chart a map rather than a verdict, and that's the right way to approach it. The project describes the readings as AI-assisted interpretations on top of deterministic chart and hexagram calculations, offered for self-reflection and cultural entertainment rather than professional advice.

Free and paid parts

The free BaZi calculator needs no account. You enter a date of birth between 1901 and 2099 on the Gregorian or Chinese lunar calendar, say how sure you are of the birth time, and pick a birth city. It returns your pillars, Day Master and Five Elements with plain-language explanations. Saving charts and opening full readings need an account.

Full readings run on credits. An I Ching reading costs 50 credits, and full BaZi, astrology and love reports cost 100. New accounts get 50 credits, which covers one I Ching reading. Paid packs are $2.99 for 100 credits, $6.99 for 500 and $9.99 for 1,000, with no expiry and no subscription. The pricing page also lists Zi Wei, Vedic, love and compatibility readings.

Before you sign up

People who already know BaZi will recognize terms like ten gods and luck cycles, and newcomers can look at a free chart before paying for anything. The privacy policy is short and general. It covers account, usage, device and payment data but doesn't mention birth details or how the AI interpretations are produced, so decide what you're comfortable entering before you save a chart to an account.
