Logo Fast

Logo Fast is for the moment a side project needs some kind of logo, for a landing page, an app icon or a social profile, and nobody wants to open a design app. It runs as a single page on IndieTool, and the job takes a brand name and a few clicks.

You pick a layout, one of six fonts and one of 42 icons, from a rocket or a lightning bolt to a cart, a lock or a music note. Twelve quick themes set the colors together, or you can set the background, icon and text colors separately. A background shape and a shadow-depth setting finish the mark, and Surprise Me shuffles everything if you'd like a starting point.

The most useful part sits under the editor. The same logo appears in a mock landing page header, on a business card, as an app icon and as a social profile picture. That lets you check whether a pale theme washes out at icon size, or whether the name runs too long for a header, before you download anything.

Exports come as a high-resolution PNG or a vector SVG, and the page says both are free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The SVG is the one to keep if you'll later scale the logo up for print or hand it to a designer.

The limits come with the format. Forty-two icons and six fonts give a tidy result fast, but everyone else is choosing from the same set, so the logo won't be distinctive. It's a good placeholder that's ready in a minute, and the page doesn't promise more than that.
