Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

AlphaCoder collects the small encoding tools that puzzle makers, teachers and curious students keep looking for. The front page converts text to A1Z26 numbers, the zero-based A0Z25 variant, ASCII, UTF-8 or binary, and back again, with a breakdown of each letter's position so you can see how the code works. Other tools cover Caesar, ROT13, Atbash and Vigenere ciphers, Morse, phone keypad and spreadsheet column codes, and word-value and gematria calculators. There are reference charts such as a pigpen key, short guides and free PDF worksheets with separate answer keys for A1Z26, Morse and Caesar puzzles. Conversions run in your browser and the text isn't sent to a server or analytics. The site is free with no account, carries Google AdSense ads and uses Google Analytics. It is built and maintained by Jack Shi.
