Project overview
The short version
AudioMIDI, at audiomidi.app, transcribes recordings into MIDI note events you can edit in a sequencer. Quick mode decodes and processes the file in your browser with no sign-in, taking MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC or M4A files up to five minutes and 25 MB. You then preview the notes in a piano roll, pick a playback sound in the Studio and download the .mid file. A separate Deep mode sends the recording to a server for more demanding material, but only after you give upload consent. The site is upfront that busy mixes, doubled vocals and drums produce wrong or missing notes, and it points you to your DAW for final corrections. Related pages cover WAV, video and general audio to MIDI, MIDI to MP3 and MP3 to sheet music.
