Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

Best Reaction Test is a free browser reaction-time test. Press to start, wait for green, then press again as fast as you can, five times. You get a score card with your median, average, best and worst times and the spread between them, and a curve that places your median against published visual reaction-time studies, such as a 10,060-person online sample with a median near 301 ms. The site labels its Reaction Age and percentile as interpretation aids rather than medical measures, and notes that browser and input-device delay are included in the score. Other modes include a survival game, a ten-signal sprint, a selective test with distractors, an F1-style five-light start and an auditory test. Results stay on your device, a local leaderboard needs no upload, and you can choose to publish an anonymous result to community stats. There's no account.
