Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

MouseCheck is a set of free browser tools for checking a mouse. The main test asks you to move, press and scroll inside a test area, counts each signal the browser receives, and gives a result once movement, the main and secondary buttons and both vertical wheel directions have arrived. Middle and side buttons are tracked too but are optional, and the page explains that a zero on a side button may be the browser navigating away rather than a fault. A live log shows the last ten events, and a checklist lets you mark an action as tried with no signal. Other pages cover a double-click test, a scroll wheel test, a polling rate test and a sensitivity converter, with guides on DPI, unwanted double-clicks and a jumping scroll wheel. It needs no account and the tests run in the open page.
