Project overview
The short version
DemoTake records product walkthroughs on a Mac as a list of scenes, each with its own recording and edits. When part of your interface changes, you retake that one scene and keep the rest, including the edits you already made. The app does the routine polish itself: it zooms in on clicks and typed fields, smooths the cursor between clicks, shortens waits and spinners, and blurs emails, tokens or card numbers as they move across the screen. One take exports as 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or a GIF, or as a share link. You can record by hand, or connect a coding agent over MCP to draft the scenes and drive the app. Local costs $129 once for up to three Macs with a year of updates, and subscriptions starting at $159 a year add hosted AI, AI music and a cloud library. There's a three-day trial with no card. Recordings stay on the Mac unless you sync or share them. DemoTake needs macOS 15 or later and comes from Sansa Group AB in Sweden.
