Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

Draw A Country is a browser game for learning country shapes by drawing them. A covered regional map shows the neighbouring place names, and you draw the country's outer border from memory in one loop, then press Reveal & score. The result overlays your outline on the real one, colours the matched, missed and extra areas, gives an outline score out of 100, and offers a specific tip before you retry the same shape. You can play a daily challenge or practise any of 195 countries, grouped by region and difficulty, plus US states and a flag-colouring game. Country borders come from Natural Earth public-domain data and state borders from the US Census Bureau, with the data versions and scoring method published. Drawing, scoring and progress stay in your browser, there is no account or advertising, and the site uses cookieless Plausible analytics.
