Project overview
The short version
Excerpt is a browser extension for Chrome and Edge that saves only the parts of an AI chat or webpage you select. Click the answers, paragraphs, code blocks or images you want on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any site, arrange them in a preview, and export a PDF or Markdown file without the sidebars and chat interface. Clips also go into a local library with full-text search, tags and notes. The free version holds 100 clips and 5 tags. Pro is a one-time $29 for unlimited clips and backup import and export. Its privacy policy says nothing leaves your browser except license checks for Pro, which also means clearing site data can wipe an unbacked library.
