The short version

Read the full Project Note

Fabula is built on one idea about explaining things: tell a story first and name the concept after. You type a concept, such as compound interest or an echo chamber, and choose a length from 20 to 60 seconds, an aspect ratio, a language, a visual style, a tone, an audience and a platform like YouTube Shorts, TikTok or a course video. Fabula writes a small fable around the idea, then turns it into a scene-by-scene storyboard with visuals, action, camera movement, narration, subtitles and prompts, all editable. Rendering keyframes and AI video scenes is optional and only spends credits when you're ready. The site's sample film for the butterfly effect follows an acorn that trips a beaver, breaks a dam and floods a valley, in six scenes with voiceover and subtitles. New accounts get 150 free credits, which the site says covers one 30-second standard film. Paid plans are credit bundles, starting at $399 a year for 600 credits a month on yearly billing. Prompts pass through a content moderation service before reaching the selected AI provider.
