Project overview
The short version
Glaido turns speech into typed text in any app on your computer. Hold one key, talk and release, and it removes filler like "uh," fixes punctuation and formatting, and pastes the result where your cursor is, whether that's an email, a Slack message or a prompt in Cursor or Claude Code. The site's example turns a spoken "refactor this function to use uh, async await instead of promises" into a clean instruction. You can add a dictionary of names and technical terms so they're spelled correctly, set formatting rules per app, such as lowercase for chat and formal for email, and save snippets and commands. It handles more than 100 languages and runs on macOS, Windows 11 and Linux. A dashboard shows time saved, speaking speed and a searchable history kept on your device. The free plan allows 2,000 words a week, and Pro removes the limit for $17 per user a month on annual billing. The privacy policy names the operator as a UAE free-zone company, lists Groq among the providers that handle AI processing, and says Glaido doesn't store dictation text on its own servers.
