You enter a weight in grams, ounces, troy ounces, kilograms or pennyweight, choose a purity from 8K to 24K and pick one of 18 currencies, and it multiplies weight by purity by a spot price it refreshes every 30 minutes. A dealer discount mode subtracts 5%, 15% or 30% to show what a buyer offer might look like next to the full melt value. Separate pages estimate cash-for-gold offers, add up several scrap items, decode hallmark stamps like 585, 750 and 916, and list per-gram prices by karat.
