Project overview
The short version
HotRepo is a GitHub trending tracker with a review attached to every project. Boards cover today, this week, this month and new repositories, filterable by language, and history lets you look up past boards. Each repository page summarises what the project is for, how it changes a workflow, its stars, license and age, and related Hacker News threads, and projects are grouped into topics such as AI engineering, developer tools and DevOps. The site is free to browse in English or Chinese. The HotRepo MCP server gives coding assistants seven tools for the same data, with a free tier of 30 calls a day and seven days of history, and a $9.99 Pro plan with 2,000 calls a day and full history.
