Project overview
The short version
Image Compressor solves a small, common problem: a portal or form that rejects a photo for being over 1 MB, 200 KB or 50 KB. Drop in one or more JPG, PNG or WebP files, pick a quality preset or type the exact KB limit, and the tool searches for the highest JPEG quality that still fits. An optional maximum width shrinks oversized phone photos first, which usually keeps more visible detail than compressing harder. Each file comes back with its before and after size. Processing runs as JavaScript in your browser, so images aren't uploaded, and the page says it keeps working offline once loaded. Output is JPEG, so transparency is lost, and the page points to its separate resizer for PNG output. It is one of the free tools on CleverHumanizer, a site whose main products are AI writing tools.
