Project overview
The short version
Keyboard Tester, at KeyboardTester.vip, is a free web page for checking that every key on a keyboard still works. Press keys and each one lights up on a 104-key layout, with counters for keys pressed, the last key and how many are left, plus a history of recent presses, and a toggle switches the labels between Windows and Mac. Two more tests sit alongside it: a ghosting test for pressing several keys at once, useful for gaming, and a double type test that catches a switch registering one press twice. It runs in the browser with no signup, and some system shortcuts and media keys can be captured by the operating system before the page sees them. The privacy policy says keypresses are processed in your browser session and not stored as profiles.
