Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

Merit Data is a robotics data company that collects real-world training data for teams building manipulation and embodied AI systems. It records first-person video from head cameras, synchronized wrist-camera views, UMI and gripper demonstrations, robot teleoperation with matching state and action data, and deliberate failure-and-recovery episodes, then adds task, event and object labels. Projects are scoped around the robot, sensors and target behavior, and the process starts with public samples and a pilot against written acceptance criteria before any production volume. Its security page describes consent and source records for each release, contributor checks for identity, age and location, and a way for contributors to withdraw consent. Pricing is by custom quote. The site is run by International Studyland Limited, trading as Merit Data, and works mainly with US teams.
