Project overview
The short version
OpenP7M is a browser tool for opening P7M files, the digitally signed envelopes that often arrive as attachments through Italian certified email (PEC). Inside is usually a signed PDF or a FatturaPA electronic invoice in XML, and OpenP7M unpacks the envelope and shows the document, rendering supported invoices as a readable layout. You can page through the whole document free with a preview watermark, and the reader flags unsupported content before you pay. Exporting without the watermark costs €1.99 per source file as a one-time payment, with no subscription. Single files need no account, while batches of up to 50 files or 100 MB do. The site says file content stays on your device. Its privacy policy, updated October 26, 2026, says opening, reading and exporting all happen in browser memory, that only a file fingerprint and order details reach the server, and that the service is run by Hinstein, an independent developer in Hong Kong. It's available in Italian and English.
