Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

PasosHoy answers one question for drivers heading over the Andes: is the crossing open today? It lists the 34 vehicle crossings between Argentina and Chile by province, from Jama in Jujuy to San Sebastián in Tierra del Fuego, and checks Argentina's Ministry of Security data every 15 minutes. Each pass shows its status, today's hours, the agency that reported it and the time of that report. When Cancillería publishes different hours, both versions appear. If the data is old or the sources conflict, the pass reads "Sin confirmar" rather than open. The site also has Spanish-language guides on documents, the SAG customs declaration, Chilean tolls and snow chains. It is free with no account, runs Google AdSense ads, and states that it is an independent project rather than a government source.
