The short version
THE HILL turns a single patch of cartoon grass into a public king-of-the-hill game. Anyone can view the current flag and its running timer, then open the history to see earlier holders. The site advertises a $1 takeover, with possession lasting until the next takeover rather than a fixed period. Its warm-up flags are explicitly staged characters, so that gallery should not be read as a record of paying players.
