Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

Trackboxx is a web analytics service built in Germany as a cookie-free alternative to Google Analytics. Its tracking script records page views, time on site, bounce rate, browsers and devices, regions and cities, referrers, UTM campaigns, conversions and live visitors, and it adds e-commerce analysis such as cart abandonment and checkout funnels, plus QR code tracking. Because it sets no cookies, the company says it needs no consent banner under the GDPR. The free plan allows 1,000 page views a month, after which new statistics stop being recorded until the next month; the Basic plan costs €5 a month for up to 25,000 page views, larger plans cover more sites and users, and a 30-day free trial is available. Overages are not charged automatically. The service is contracted only with business customers, and the imprint names Christian Pust in Saxony-Anhalt as the operator.
