Trackboxx

Trackboxx gives website owners traffic statistics without cookies. You add its script to your site and the dashboard shows visitor numbers and page views, time on site and bounce rate, browsers and devices, regions and cities, referrers and sources, UTM campaigns, conversions and live visitors. For shops there is an e-commerce view of add-to-cart rates, cart abandonment and the checkout funnel, and a separate feature tracks scans of QR codes on printed material. The company pitches the dashboard as easier to read than Google Analytics, and a live demo shows it before you sign up.

Because the script sets no cookies, Trackboxx says sites using it don't need a consent banner or an opt-in for analytics under the GDPR. Its argument is that this also avoids the gaps cookie banners and ad blockers create in other tools' numbers.

There is a free plan limited to 1,000 page views a month; once that is reached, new statistics are no longer stored until the next month. The Basic plan costs €5 a month for up to 25,000 page views, and higher plans raise the limits on page views, websites and users. A 30-day free trial covers the paid features. Exceeding a paid plan's allowance doesn't trigger automatic charges. The service is sold only to business customers, not to consumers.

The imprint names Christian Pust as the operator, with a registered office at a business incubator in Kroppenstedt and a branch in Grönwohld, Germany. The privacy policy, binding in its German version, covers the company's own website, including server logs kept for up to seven days. The site is available in German, English and several other European languages.
