A closer look at checkaicontent
CheckAIContent offers an AI-text detector, paragraph rewriter, tone changer and English grammar checker through public browser forms.
Pick the change you want
A long paragraph and a stiff announcement need different edits. CheckAIContent makes that choice explicit. Its paragraph rewriter offers Balanced, Clearer, Shorter, More formal and More casual goals, with room for 12,000 characters. A separate tone changer offers presets such as Friendly, Professional and Neutral.
For a builder adapting a product announcement, that could mean comparing a shorter website version with a friendlier email version. The original text and the output each have their own panel. The useful part is having a specific editing goal to judge the result against. A smoother sentence still needs checking if it changes a feature, a price or a promise.
The English grammar checker adds a language selector, including US and UK variants, and a 20,000-character limit. The grammar page describes its output as suggestions for the writer to consider. None of these public interfaces requires an account before you can reach the input.
Put the detector score in context
The AI detector sits beside those editing tools. Its input shows a 1,000-word maximum, and the site describes an overall probability score with sentence-level highlights. Those are estimates of writing patterns. The detector page itself says it cannot prove who wrote a passage and discusses false positives and edited AI text.
That limitation matters more than a reassuring percentage. A score should not decide whether a student cheated or a writer supplied original work. For an editor, the words, sources and drafting history provide context that a text score cannot supply. Rewriting a passage until its score falls is not evidence that its facts improved.
Check the text and the privacy terms
CheckAIContent advertises the tools as free to use without signing up. Its FAQ says submitted content is not stored, shared or used for training. The general privacy policy separately describes cookies, IP addresses, browser details and other usage data, and says the service does not address anyone under 16. No signup does not mean no data collection.
Nonconfidential copy is the sensible place to begin. Before submitting client material or someone else's writing, check that you have permission to share it with an online service. For the writing itself, compare the returned version with your original, especially names, figures and qualifications that an apparently small wording change could alter.
