Dumango Family is an open-source, self-hosted organizer for household coordination. What caught my eye
Dumango Family makes the bargain unusually clear. A household gets one place for planning and keeps the server under its own control, but someone in that household has to deploy and maintain it. That will be a benefit for some families and an immediate no for others.
How Dumango Family works
The server brings calendars, shopping and to-do lists, meal planning, budgets, chat, photos, documents, birthdays, school timetables, and voluntary location check-ins into one web app.
The paid Android companion is designed to work offline and sync when the server is reachable. It is not a standalone hosted service and requires a running Dumango Family server.
Who might find it useful
Dumango Family fits households that already run Docker or similar self-hosted software and want direct control over where family coordination data lives.
It is a weaker fit for families expecting a ready-made account. Setup and maintenance are the user's responsibility, and the Android app is currently sold through Samsung Galaxy Store. Store pricing varies by region.
