A closer look at G Maps Crawl

G Maps Crawl is a Google Maps business scraper with a web app, browser extension, REST API and MCP server. A free account gets 1,000 records a month with basic details and phone numbers. Paid plans from $19 a month add emails, social links and CSV, Excel or JSON export.

Building a local business list

The job here is a common one for agencies and local sales teams. You need a list of every dentist, roofer or coffee shop in an area, with enough contact detail to reach them. G Maps Crawl takes a keyword and a location, searches Google Maps, and returns the businesses it finds as rows you can filter and export. The free preview on the homepage fetches up to 20 businesses for one keyword before you sign in, and the site offers a sample CSV for coffee shops in Austin so you can see the columns first.

Those columns are what you'd expect from a Maps listing, such as name, category, address, phone, website, opening hours, rating, review count and a link to the reviews. The one step beyond the listing is website enrichment. On paid plans the tool reads each business's site and adds public email addresses and social profile links it finds there. Three smaller tools sit on top of the same data. One finds businesses with no website or only a social page, one looks for businesses with few reviews compared with local peers, and one builds a sales territory shortlist.

Ways to run it and what it costs

There's a web app, a Chrome extension, a REST API with an OpenAPI file, and an MCP server plus an agent skill, so the same records can feed a script or an AI assistant. Online and API allowances are counted separately.

The free plan gives 1,000 records a month with basic details and phone numbers, up to two keywords per task, and no email, social or file export. Lite is $19 a month for 20,000 records, Basic $49 for 80,000, Growth $99 for 250,000 and Professional $149 for 500,000, with higher crossed-out prices shown beside each. Every paid tier adds emails, social links, custom fields and CSV, Excel or JSON export. The terms offer a seven-day money-back guarantee on the first base subscription charge.

The data question

Scraping Google Maps can conflict with Google's terms of service, and G Maps Crawl doesn't claim any arrangement with Google. Its own public data notice says results can include personal data when a listing or review names a person, that customers must have a lawful purpose, and that the service must not be used to target individuals. The export also carries the listing owner's public Google profile name and link, which is worth knowing before you load a list into a mail tool.

The privacy policy says scraped records are kept in the company's database with no routine expiry and may be reused for future products, unless a removal or legal request overrides that. Anyone whose details appear in a record can ask for it to be reviewed, corrected or removed. For a business owner checking how their listing gets used, that's the relevant line. For a buyer, the practical point is that the tool's output is only as clean as the public listings behind it, and the site says unavailable fields come back blank.
