Hilite
Hilite combines transcript-based podcast editing with recording and audio enhancement. Its public pages disagree about the Pro episode limit.

A closer look at Hilite
A browser service for recording or uploading podcast audio, editing its transcript, enhancing speech and preparing episodes for publication.
Find the words you want to cut
For a spoken-word episode, finding a sentence in a transcript can be more direct than searching a waveform. Hilite's public editor guide describes that approach: upload or record audio, work through the synchronized words, then listen to the edited result before exporting. That is a useful workflow to consider for interviews or solo narration, where much of the editing is deciding what to leave in.
ProjectRadar reviewed the public feature pages and plan terms. It did not upload a recording, make edits, assess transcription accuracy or test audio quality and distribution. The documentation supports a description of the workflow, not a claim about how well it performs.
Start with the stated limits
As checked on October 9, 2026, the pricing page lists one episode per month on Free, with up to 30 minutes of recording and Studio Sound enhancement. Text editing and automatic transcripts are included. The enhancement page names Subtle and Standard as the free levels, with Strong and Max on paid plans.
Pro has an unresolved limit: the pricing page lists ten episodes per month at $19 monthly, while the enhancement FAQ says Pro removes the episode cap. Confirm the allowance before paying or planning a release schedule around it. The pricing table also reserves one-click distribution, analytics and generated show notes for paid plans.
Recordings are processed by a service
Hilite's privacy policy says recordings, transcripts and related content may go to providers for transcription, audio processing, hosting or generation. This is a hosted workflow; browser access does not mean recordings stay on the device. The policy says private content is not used to train generalized models for unrelated customers without separate agreement.
The terms leave recording permissions and review of generated material with the creator. For an interview, that makes guest consent part of the preparation, and listening to the final cut remains part of the edit. Keep an independent copy of the original recording.
