A closer look at Image to Prompt

A browser tool that describes reference images and prepares editable prompts for several AI image generators.

Put the visual decisions into words

The public wristwatch example shows what Image to Prompt is trying to capture. Alongside the subject, it names the overhead composition, soft studio lighting, monochrome palette and contrasting watch faces. Those details are more useful for a new image brief than a caption that simply says "two watches."

The tool accepts JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 10 MB, pasted images or public image URLs. It offers a general description plus formats for Midjourney, FLUX, Stable Diffusion, ChatGPT Image and Nano Banana. Results can be edited and copied, with History available to signed-in users. ProjectRadar inspected the public examples and documentation without submitting an image or testing the generated prompts in another model.

The site labels its visual breakdown as AI inference, not EXIF metadata. A camera description or material guess should be treated as an interpretation of the picture. It cannot establish the actual lens, lighting setup or original prompt. For creators studying a composition, the useful part is a draft vocabulary to correct and adapt.

Check the image-sharing boundary first

The privacy policy says images are sent to APIMart for analysis. After a successful analysis, the submitted image is stored with a publicly reachable URL. Anyone who obtains that URL can view or share it; a difficult-to-guess address is not private access. Use references you have permission to share and keep confidential client work out of this workflow.

The policy describes cleanup of anonymous results after about 24 hours and deletion of stored image objects with their corresponding records. Signed-in History remains until deletion. Those are the service's stated practices, not independently verified retention behavior.

A limited free allowance

The homepage offers three one-time visitor trials per browser and five permanent credits on registration. Each analyzed image costs one credit and includes all six prompt formats. At the October 4 check, a one-time pack offered 300 credits for $4.99; Pro showed $9.90 monthly for 1,000 credits that expire at the billing-period end. Batch analysis requires Pro. The free allowance is a trial of the workflow, not unlimited conversion.
