A closer look at NeverApply
NeverApply is an AI job-search agent. It matches you to relevant jobs, tailors your resume and cover letter for each one, answers screening questions and auto-applies with your approval. A hosted MCP server lets Claude, Cursor and other AI assistants search jobs and apply for you. It has Free, Pro and Max plans.
What it does
Applying through applicant tracking systems means retyping the same work history, uploading the same file and answering the same work-authorization question again and again. NeverApply hands that to an agent named Otto. It matches you to jobs, tailors a resume and cover letter for each one, fills in the form from your saved facts and screening answers, and sends it. The homepage demo is sped up, and the site says real applications go out minutes apart.
There's also a free MCP connector, so you can ask Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another assistant to search for jobs through NeverApply. The free plan allows 50 reads a day through it.
How much control you keep
This is the part to understand before signing up. To the employer, an application from NeverApply looks the same as one you sent yourself, and it lands in their hiring system under your name. The privacy policy says the agent may create candidate accounts on applicant tracking systems with your application email, complete email verification, and route employer mail through a relay address that forwards to your inbox. The subject, sender and text of that relayed mail go to a classification provider, TypeSafe, with links and codes removed first.
Pro includes Ask mode, where you approve each job before anything is sent, and caps applications at 5 a day. Max raises that to 15 and applies within minutes of a new match. If you care about what goes out under your name, Ask mode and a careful look at your saved screening answers are worth the extra steps.
Pricing and privacy
The free plan covers 10 applications once, with no card, plus 5 match previews a day, an application tracker and a resume score. Pro is $29 a month and adds unlimited matches refreshed hourly, resume rewrites, tailored cover letters and interview prep. Max is $49 a month with a tailored resume for every application and the site's best model for chat, tailoring and prep. Yearly billing saves $120.
The privacy policy goes into detail. It names OpenAI through Cloudflare's AI Gateway and Google Gemini as the AI providers for resumes, chat and applications, says they don't train on your data, and explains how to delete your account data.
