A closer look at RateMyApp
A private iOS and Android testing exchange with focused briefs, report evidence, testing credits and optional community ratings.
Give a tester a finish line
A vague request to test an app leaves a lot open. RateMyApp asks iOS and Android developers to supply a focused brief alongside an official app or beta link. A task such as finding a setting and returning to the home screen gives a tester something concrete to attempt.
The site describes private reports with device details, findings and evidence. That gives an app owner material to examine before deciding whether the requested task was completed. No app was listed or tested for this note.
Understand the credit exchange
The October 2, 2026 beta terms say a claimed test reserves 30 credits from the app owner. Approval rewards the tester once. Owners are told to judge task completion and evidence, without making a favorable rating a condition. The credits have no cash value.
Joining and listing are advertised as free. The terms describe optional credit packs when checkout is connected, but a purchase doesn't guarantee a compatible tester or a completion date.
Keep the stars in context
Optional community ratings stay on RateMyApp and don't determine credit rewards. Critical ratings can remain visible even when an owner rejects a report. Its terms prohibit requiring, buying, coordinating or rewarding public store reviews.
This is a private feedback exchange. It doesn't establish App Store or Google Play acceptance, and developers remain responsible for the distribution rules that apply to their app.
