A closer look at ScreensDesign MCP
An MCP connection for researching recorded mobile app interfaces, onboarding, paywalls and public App Store context.
See what came before the paywall
A paywall screenshot leaves out how an app got someone to that point. ScreensDesign MCP gives an AI assistant access to recorded mobile app screens and flows in order. A builder comparing onboarding could ask for the steps before a subscription offer, then follow links to the recorded examples. That sequence is more useful for studying the pitch than a price sheet on its own.
Research beyond one screen
The library also covers App Store marketing screenshots, public reviews and saved collections. Those offer different kinds of evidence. A store image shows how an app presents itself; a recording shows the captured interface; reviews can reveal recurring complaints. ScreensDesign keeps store creatives separate from recorded in-app screens.
Revenue and download estimates add context when available. They do not establish conversion rates or prove that a paywall made an app successful. The recordings can also age as apps change.
A paid library connection
MCP access comes with ScreensDesign Pro, currently listed at $39 a month or $299 billed annually. It uses a hosted server and browser sign-in, with limits on requests and returned data. The optional companion skill provides research guidance, but the public repository does not contain the hosted service or its library.
The terms license agent access for interactive research and internal analysis. They restrict redistribution and building datasets or services from the results. A design reference is useful to study, but access does not grant permission to reuse another app's artwork.
